Michael Bennett doesn't mince anything.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan turns and yells to teammates from the line of scrimmage late i ... Then the Falcons hit him back - in his knee. Games of these nature in the past, the Falcons have shied away from.
On a fourth-and-10 play at their own 25 and trailing 26-24, Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw a long pass toward Jones.
In the locker room, Sherman still had the volume knob cranked to 10 in an exchange with Shead, while Carroll nervously made the rounds muttering about "drama".
Therefore despite some poor field position the Atlanta offense stayed calm and worked their way down the field, the running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman playing more of a part as the game went along.
Sherman didn't dismiss the possibility that he held Jones' arm on the play, but he wasn't showing any guilt after the Seahawks' third win in a row.
In Seattle's previous game, an October 2 win at the New York Jets, Bennett was the target of a head butt by offensive lineman Brian Winters following a play.
Bennett is no angel on the field. "So it just so happens that one all got magnified on". "I mean, that's the second week someone tried to take me out, man". I just want to be out here for the guys and prove myself.
The NFL does not review pass interference calls. "You just pop back up and go to the next play". Why do you got to cut somebody? "Why do you have to cut somebody?" "I don't know. I don't come off the ball jumping at offensive linemen's legs". So I don't know. "We certainly had other opportunities in the game to go capitalize and finish but we won't let it come down to one time for us".
"This is a big win, bro", Wagner said. Altogether, the Falcons committed eight infractions for 66 yards; the Seahawks, on the other hand, only received three flags for 30 yards.
"To me it's a scary (expletive) move", Bennett said. "He's a terrific blitzer right now". There were periods of defensive domination, stretches where Russell Wilson made chicken salad out of chicken poop, and as always, it came down to the final play, with controversy finding -who else?
Christine Michael had 18 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns, adding 3 catches for 19 yards.
The Seahawks dominated the first half on the way to a 17-3 halftime lead. I'm just happy to be with my guys. I'm trying to return the favor. Michael had two touchdown runs and rookie Alex Collins added his first National Football League touchdown on a 2-yard run.
Steven Hauschka's winning field goal capped the 20th career fourth-quarter or overtime comeback for Wilson as the Seahawks slowed the hot Falcons.
"Great play by Alex", Wilson said.
NOTES: Seattle S Kam Chancellor (groin) was among the Seahawks players who did not suit up. "It was impressive", Carroll said. "He nearly could go this week".
This was the 93rd consecutive game under Carroll in which the Seahawks either led or were within one score in the fourth quarter.
The news on Luke Willson wasn't as good.
If officials had seen it like we all saw it on replay and like Falcons coach Dan Quinn saw it in real time, going nut-ball insane when nothing was called, Atlanta would have had the ball in field-goal range with a good chance to win the game.
