Search Resumes on Lake Simcoe for Missing 57yo Toronto Man

Li was known to go fishing, and Monday was his day off.

Multiple police stations across Toronto and the GTA are searching for a missing man after his kayak was found on Lake Simcoe Friday.

Toronto and York Regional Police are also helping in the investigation of 57-year old Halai Li, who was last seen on October 17th.

An abandoned kayak was found on Lake Simcoe earlier in the week, as well as an empty vehicle in Innisfil.

Working with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton, officers from the South Simcoe Police and York Regional Police Marine Units are now conducting a coordinated search of Lake Simcoe.

He is described as Asian, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
