Things WWE Wants You To Forget About Mickie James

Toronto event scheduled to take place on November 19, 2016, would see the return of former WWE Divas Champion Mickie James to the WWE.

Warning: Spoilers below from the recent NXT tapings...

It's official: the latest former WWE star to return to the fold is none other than former WWE Diva's and Women's Champion Mickie James. Unfortunately, outside-the-ring goings on would lead to her downfall and eventual release in April 2010. As well as making appearances all over the world on the independent scene since leaving TNA, she's made appearances as a guest trainer at WWE's Performance Center and recorded two country albums, "Strangers & Angels" and "Somebody's Gonna Pay".

The 7-time Women's Champion was the first choice because she hails from Canada and the event would have benefitted more from a homegrown legend in action. After the news of her pregnancy broke out, WWE turned towards the former TNA Knockout, who accepted the proposition with open arms. Most recently, James performed at Chikara's King of Trios. Bryan Alvarez indicated on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE had some plans with Trish Stratus for this year and next year but now that she's expecting her second child, it's possible they are working with Mickie instead.
