This led to speculations that the book's publication will further be delayed and the belief that "The Winds of Winter" will definitely contain more thrills and storylines.
Even though there are rumors, there has been no definitive proof that George RR Martin is angry towards being rushed to write and release "Winds of Winter". To recall, it has been five years since Martin released the current novel, "A Dance with Dragons" and it took the 68-year-old author five years to finish it.
According to Yibada "The Winds of Winter" is getting less likely to arrive later this year. The author defended himself in an interview as he claims to have a huge load of work to finish aside from the last remaining parts of "A Song of Ice and Fire". On the other hand, he clearly hinted that despite the delay in its release, he is still obligated to finish the two books in the novel series, including "The Winds of Winter".

In a different note, iTech Post mentioned GRRM is using technology to promote and share his books and it appears that "Winds of Winter" is one of them. The author indicated that the show has kept him preoccupied these days, leaving him with very little time to get the book done. The interactive "Game of Thrones: Enhanced Edition" allows readers to track characters as it contains annotations and glossary terms describing their origins and the history of their respective houses.
In other "Game of Thrones" news, according to George R.R. Martin's official blog, an illustrated and signed edition of "Game of Thrones" will be released on October 18 at the Jean Cocteau Cinema (JCC) Bookstore in celebration of the first book's 20th anniversary.
