Police seek person of interest in case of missing student Natsumi Kogawa

Investigators have now obtained surveillance video that shows Kogawa in the company of an unknown man, who they are calling a "person of interest", the day after she was reportedly last seen.

Prior to police obtaining the surveillance images, which were captured at 1:27 in the afternoon, Kogawa's last known sighting was by her roommates at their Burnaby home on September 7.

The unnamed man is not a suspect in Kogawa's disappearance, but police think he could offer information in regards to their investigation. Police did not disclose the exact location of the building.

Mounties describe him as white, roughly 30 years old, with a slim build and light coloured hair.

Sgt. Derek Thibodeau with Burnaby RCMP says it's not a criminal investigation at this time.
